All about Ellesmere Port Badminton Club
Ellesmere Port Badminton Club (EPBC) was formed in the late 60’s having emerged as like many such clubs from its previous existence as a church or works based team. In this instance a works team, The English Electric Company, who played in the Chester & District League up until its demise in 1968. EPBC has continued playing in the Chester League over the decades and has achieved a modicum of success with it.
For most of its existence the club was based at, and played at Sutton Comprehensive School until it moved in late 2012 to the new University Church of England Academy facility in the town centre.
The club is one of the largest in the league with 4 teams (A-D) and also has a healthy social badminton circle catering to all standards and ages over 16, our youngest member being 17, whilst our eldest members are in their 70’s.
So don’t keep thinking about coming down; come down, get fit, get healthy, make friends & have fun.
